Lycoming 0-320 D1D 160HP engine, currently flying in Grumman GA-7 Cougar. The aircraft has been used privately, but is now going to be used for rental/club usage.
The left hand engine has done 1,800 hours, but is over the 12 year life for rental/club usage. This model engine is the high compression model, has the rear mounted carburettor and obviously can drive a CSU propeller. When I got the aircraft, the number four cylinder on this engine had a crack around the top spark plug hole, so I fitted a new Millenium cylinder to it. Also the left hand magneto on it was weak, so I also fitted a newly inspected (Slick 500 hour inspection) magneto to it. The engine starts and runs very well, it is shame to remove it from service! However, I have a newly overhauled engine to fit, so my loss will be someone else's gain. Sale will include, starter, mags, harness, carburettor, vac pump, fuel pump and oil filter.
Come and run the engine to see for yourself how solid it is! Aircraft is based in East Sussex. I plan to do the engine change in late November or early December.
