FRED Series II, first flight May 1998. Fixed fin fitted. Tail skid and no brakes, as originally designed. Tracks straight and true, as you'd expect from a skid-equipped taildragger. Possibly the easiest taildragger to operate off grass, even in a 10kt crosswind.
Wings easily foldable for ground transport, all fixtures included.
Engine VW 1835 Like new inside. Armstrong starter, of course. Overhauled 2016 with 8.1 compression ratio cylinders. Lucas mags. Original “trembler” starting coil disabled, but able to be re-fitted, but it starts like a dream without.
Engine instruments battery-powered (new spare battery included)
