G-BUZA is a Mk3 Kitfox that underwent a major refurbishment in 2021. The following work was carried out:

New Rotax 912UL (80hp) from CFS Aero.
New engine mount
New exhaust
New Kiev ground adjustable propeller, with spacer and spinner.
New oil cooler.
New radiator and pipe work.
New Grove undercarriage.
New bush wheels Tyres and brakes.
New Rear T3 suspension adjustable tailwheel.
New panel and engine instruments.
New leather seats.
New door Perspex.
New fuel pump and low fuel level indicator system.
New Matco brake cylinders.
New complete fuel lines.
New aux alloy fuel tank 15Litres +3L header.

The brand new engine has done about 85hours since installation in May 2022, (may increase slightly) and will give many years of trouble-free flying.

Cowls, struts and flapperons were all repainted during refurbishment, and as much unnecessary weight as possible was stripped out. She weighs 280kg and so at 476KG MAUW this leaves 196kg for crew and fuel which is pretty decent for a KitFox.

BUZA economy cruises at 85mph, and will happily sit at 90mph. Climb is 1,000 fpm, and with an endurance of around 4 hours. Due to the fact that it has alloy aux tank you could safely operate her using MoGas with no issues as long as you don’t leave E5 in the wing tanks for extended periods (currently ran on UL91) also has proper gauges in each wing tank.

She flies hands off (rare for a Kitfox!), and the Grove undercarriage makes the ground handling much more docile that the standard gear set-up.
