Specifications:

Manufacturer: Grumman

Model: AA5a Cheetah

Description:

1/20th share in a syndicate operating Grumman AA5a Cheetah G-RATE.

About 7 years since respray and new engine.

£1200 share (not negotiable, it's a standard price approved by the syndicate.

£40/month, £100/tacho hour (which averages about £85/hr logged for me). Prices kept low by syndicate members helping with maintenance, but that's fairly informally managed.

Based on a tie-down outdoors at Turweston.

If you wish, it's possible to pay £60/month, giving you also access at the same rate to a PA28-151 parked next to it. The PA28 is well looked after and has good availability, but a much more basic avionics fit than "TE".

The aeroplane has the 180 litre / 49 gal big tanks, 2 x altimeter, GTN650, ADF, second VOR - so basically airways. Two instructors in the syndicate (well, three, but I'm leaving), last resprayed about seven years ago, engine overhauled about the same time and as the aeroplane's not all that heavily used should be 6 years or so before she goes on condition.

Booking online with GoBoKo, and a general rule of "don't take the mickey" with useage rather than anything very strict. PilotAware Classic permanently in the aeroplane.

And for the record, I'm selling my share because Turweston is too far from home for me now, no other reason. It's a great group and a great aeroplane, and very affordable flying.
