National Parachutes 425 and 425S
I bought these parachutes when I was part of the Eagle group at Dunkeswell about 11 years ago. Neither chute has ever been used in anger by me and I was told they were only ever taken out for re-packing by the previous owners, they are essentially un-used.
This was what the seller told me....
The National 425S parachute was used in a Yak 52 on and off for a couple of years. I purchased it new for over £1800. Stored in the dry and re-packed annually, it is in near perfect condition. Although the carry bag has some discolouration the chute itself is unmarked. List price is $2379 (£1580).
...and it remains in excellent condition but would need inspecting and re-packing. I'm not sure what the regulations are for this but, in the extreme situation of having to leave the plane you certainly would be glad to have it!
The National 425 has a similar story and is also in excellent condition. Both chutes have always been stored in a dark, dry place. The 425S comes with a carry case.
