SSDR
The SSDR has been lanquishing in Chilbolton for the last 18 months that needs finishing for Test Flying.
The SSDR is now being offered to another builder for completion as we really need to see progress towards getting Test Flown.
The SSDR was taken down to Devon in Jan 2017 where a considerable amount of work was completed towards it being ready for Test flying, due to circumstances changing with the person it was loaned to, it was sub-loaned to another aircraft builder from Cornwall on the understanding that the test flying would be completed.
Now it has just been handed back to us by the 3rd person that tried to finish it at Chilbolton but again they had changes of circumstances & I am really hoping that it will be 4th time lucky ;-)
So it is time for it to move on to a new person to complete the test flying in return for 'unlimited use' until such times as we agree to dispose of these SSDR aircraft.
(there is no immediate intent to dispose of them once flown).
Some money has been spent by the current custodians, so when sold their costs will be met for them, the focus is more about seeing this SSDR aircraft take to the sky than it is about selling on.
So, the offer is: The person who completes the build & test flying will be given use for a mutually agreed time.
Free use of a Single Seat DeRegulated Microlight in return for finishing the project .
This is an advert offering anyone that wants a project to complete 'Carte Blanche' rights to the SSDR during all the time that the aircraft is within their care, whilst I am the registered Trustee for the SSDR it is agreed that essentially whoever takes on the Project has unrestricted control in terms of operating the aircraft in a manner that complies to the Terms and Conditions of Airfield Use at wherever it is based.
I am not expecting to be in any way financially involved with the SSDR costs.
The SSDR is currently hangared at Stonefield Park (Chilbolton Airstrip) & hangarage can be continued at favourable rates ( or you can relocate to a site of your choice )
The SSDR is 95% completed & needs very little to get airborne.
This Project NEEDS TO FLY as the build has really dragged on.
