Jabiru 2200 Hydraulic lifter model.
2005 with 540 hours since new.
Engine had major failure on final to land but had absolutely no prop-strike.
Engine has dropped exhaust valve resulting in major damage to Cylinder, Cylinder head and connecting rod assembly. The engine is 100% repairable but will require a complete strip-down and rebuild using new head/cylinder/valves/piston/con-rod/gaskets e.t.c
The engine turns over and has no crankshaft damage.
No other cylinders damaged.
Engine will be sold complete with all ancillaries inc Carburettor/Starter motor/Exhaust/Distributors/Voltage regulator e.t.c
Engine has full and complete service records and the damage was a one off un-foreseeable event, the engine ran smoothly and fault free up until it stopped a few weeks ago.
I am offering this engine for sale for a period of 7 days ending at 18:00 on 26 August 2014 and I am open to offers in excess of ?1000 and all offers made by e-mail only please.
The engine is located in Northern Ireland and delivery will be in addition to the final price.
I will end the listing early if someone offers sensible money and I will not entertain silly offers.
I also have the Alan Netown Propellor from the engine and it is NOT INCLUDED in the sale but will be sold by separate arrangement. The engine was fitted to an X-Air originally.
