Description:

I’m exploring the possibility of setting up a small 4-pilot group for a 1972 Robin DR400 based at Headcorn (EGKH). I am currently the sole owner/user having bought the aircraft in 2023 for £60k

Proposed Costs:
Equity Buy In: £10,000 (based on a total of 4 shares)
Monthly fixed fee ~£350 (inc hangerage, insurance, routine maintenance etc)
Hourly wet rate ~£90/hr

Airframe ~4,450 hrs, in time engine in good condition (two new cylinders, ~around 900 hrs left before overhaul). Basic avionics, paint serviceable but tired in my opinion. Hangered, under CAMO. Annual due Aug 2026. New prop being installed on next 50hr inspection (Feb) which I will pay for.

I’ve been flying around 30 hours a year so am looking into sharing to increase the aircraft usage. With that being said there’s excellent availability.

I’m not looking to recover the cost of purchase so any equity buy in funds will go straight into a maintenance/engine fund.

This is initially a feeler to gauge interest — could explore a non-equity route if there’s insufficient interest, or potentially a smaller equity group with a higher buy in.
