Description:

G-BMIW is a beautifully liveried 1981 Piper PA-28-181 Archer II, based at Shoreham. It is a hangared, very well-maintained aircraft, managed by a long-established and dedicated ownership group.

The aircraft has recently benefited from a full repaint and a comprehensive engine overhaul, with only 120 hours since. It is very well kept both externally and internally.

Equipped with an Avidyne IFD440, it is well suited for both VFR and IFR flying. Additional avionics include a wing-leveller, Garmin GTX345 ADS-B transponder, GMA 340 audio panel and GNC 255A nav/comm.

For over-water flights there is a a PLB and a separate life raft group available to to join for a small fee, providing access to life jackets and a life raft.

G-IW has served a diverse range of members over the years — from ex-airline pilots to newly qualified PPLs and those undertaking IMC training.

There are plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow members through the group’s WhatsApp chat (used to share aircraft availability and updates) - or email if you prefer - plus the annual AGM and dinner.

Aircraft availability is excellent and the aircraft uses an online booking system. There is a monthly subscription plus a wet hourly rate of £126 including VAT.
