Summary

Reluctant sale of my Jabiru SK, Group A. Owned by me for 18 years and flown over 1000 trouble free hours. Engine 250 hrs since TBO by Skycraft and airfame 1650 hours. Only selling to make space for a J400. Very tidy, well equipped and always hangered.

Description

This is a lovely honest and reliable Group A aircraft that has been in my ownership for trouble free 18 years operating out of a 450 m grass strip. Only being reluctantly sold to make space for a J400. Aircraft was originally built by the legendary (in Jabiru circles) Vic Leggot in 1998) Total airframe hours are 1650.The engine is a gen 2 Jabiru 2200 solid lifter version which has just 250 hours on it since TBO by the importers, Skycraft. The panel has a Dynon D3 pocket panel and MGL digital gauges for RPM, time, EGT and CHT. Trig TT21 Transponder and TY91 Tranceiver. Interior re-trimmed this year. Engine and airframe have just had the 100 hour inspection / service. This aircraft has a MAUW of 430kg in UK (450kg everywhere else!). 100kt cruise burning 14.5 litres/hr. This is a short wing, short fuselage, short fin aircraft that has sharper handling than the UL (microlight) version. Note: it CANNOT be re-registered as a microlight a it stalls and behaves as a typical Group A aircraft. Big foot wheels and heavy nose gear fitted. Cold start kit fitted. A good straight, reliable aircraft that has always been hangered. Permit to 7/1/2027. GT course prop fitted and GT short field prop available by negotiation.
