The aircraft had not long been out of maintenance (annual) and had a small fortune spent on it, therefor the parts are in great condition. However the aircraft had to make an emergency landing on an estuary and due to it being a safety problem and even more of a problem the estuary being a protected bird sanctuary meant the insurance company decided to air lift the Cessna 182 using a heli copter and that unfortunaely wrote the airframe off!
