I have for sale a Continental A-65 taper crankshaft. This crankshaft has standard journals which are part worn but it's been stored badly. The crankshaft displays signs of staining and frosting so would need to be ground to minus .010". That should give it a further 1500 hours plus it could be ground again to minus .020" so that should allow a further 1500 hours. So potentially 3000 hours of life left in this crankshaft. The bored out section through the taper appears to be corrosion free. The crank has been subjected to an FMPI / NDT inspection and the test certificate is present.
