LAA Inspector No. 780.
The ARV with a standard 2 stroke, 75 hp Hewland soon had a reputation as the nicest handling aircraft
But with the 914 it became a rocket ship
I have converted many ARV to rotax in a past life.........and built this from new with a new engine in1998
It also has bigger c150 wheels and tyres
This has a "THICK" coat of 2 pack paint and many aircraft sit outside, it has a canopy cover and wing cover,
The fuel is a bit limited at 50 l and used circa 18 l /hour, so you need to make sure you can pick up fuel on a long trip
It has been to Czechoslovakia and Guernsey in its day
I let my licence lap in covid so when it moved to Monewdon a couple of lads rented it flew it
It hasn't been flow since autumn, and we will find a local instructor to test fly it with you
It beats say a Eurostar on both half the cost and twice the performance
The legal payload is acceptable two skinny pilots, full of fuel................but performance with the 115 hp will lift two fat boys
It will climb at 1500 ft /min plus right up to 12000 ft because the turbo power doesn't drop off
It has some permit left but once you own it I can put a years permit on it as I am an inspector
U can see above and below due to the high wing swept forward
In side ....nothing. Big 6, old gps, rotax flydat and a good radio
Loves a crosswind, cruise 100kt ...85 kt, but likes 90 kt.
I am now old and fat and unlikely to fly it again ....poo
Looking for a good home and a stress free sale
