Jodel D18 G-BTRZ for sale, out of permit, feeling sorry for itself and in need of some TLC to get it back in the air
Description
I’ve owned my D18 for over 22 years and she’s part of the family. Together we’ve had countless adventures over the years and I’ve flown hundreds of hours in her. However I’ve been living abroad for the past ten years and the opportunities to fly her have become increasingly rare, so much so that the permit expired in September 2024 and she’s been gathering dust and bird poo in a corner of the hangar since then.
Although complete, she’s now tatty and in need of TLC. The fabric was ok at the last permit but if I was to keep her I’d want to renew it and give her new paint.
The original engine was a VW 1834, which we replaced with a much more powerful Revmaster 2100 - the dual Bendix mag has been removed pending a service but is included. Total airframe hours are 825 and engine 172. Spats and cowling are off in the pics but present. D18s handle like a dream and have incredible visibility thanks to the huge bubble canopy and make a fantastic first tailwheel aeroplane.
She can be seen at Little Gransden EGMJ by arrangement and will need to be trailered away. If you can give G-BTRZ a good home and the love she deserves and offer me over £5k then she’s yours. Please don’t waste time with silly offers as they will be ignored.
