CIIW rolled off the production line only a few weeks before the outbreak of WW2 in August 1939. It’s one of the few original J3L’s with a Lycoming O-145-B2. She can be run on UL91, 100LL, and recently approved for E5 Mogas under the LAA Mod scheme. 2 of the cylinder heads were overhauled in 2024 by Richard Kimberley Services owing to low compression, since then all 4 cylinders are producing high compression (80/80 on all 4 heads) on the last 2 annuals since. Oil has been changed every 20hrs or in spring/winter regardless of hours.
I have lots of O-145 engine spares included in the sale, crankshafts, cylinder heads, crankcases, pistons, rods, valves, camshafts, new old stock piston rings, valve seats, valve guides, gaskets, spark plug inserts. These are all stored in a temperature controlled storage unit.
There's an external antenna, and 2 place intercom with GA plugs so compatible with any radio that has a dual plug adapter, this works from a 9V battery.
This is a bargain price, already accounting for the fact the cub has unsealed struts and that the cowling could do with some TLC. It needs to be seen to be appreciated.
