Summary
A great opportunity to get on the water!
Description
After extensive restoration work, this Osprey was returned to service in 2025 - it took 18 months of time to take out every nut and bolt to get this 1995 Osprey 2 back on the water. The Lycoming 320 engine had been sat in inhibition oil and had a full rebuild by a licensed engineer including Camshaft inspection, new valve springs, pistons and rings; new magnetos; new, starter; new fuel and oil pumps; overhauled carburettors - all on an engine that still only now has 70 hours total time. A new (in 1984) unused 3 blade Ole Fahlin water propeller was sourced and fitted which allowed the water trials to prove its performance from the water.
I have complete maintenance records dating back to its construction and initial flight tests, complete set of plans, and the permit inspection won't be due until April 2027.
New propeller, engine mounts, battery, tires and a new radio complete the restoration.
I am an instructor and type familiarisation training / ferrying services are negotiable
