Practically finished rebuilt Pitts S1

Description

Taken out of service in 2003, and dry-stored, this 1972 aircraft has been completely rebuilt over the last six years using all new hardware. Recovered using Stits system and finished in Polytone. Engine is a Lycoming O-360B1B with fuel injection and inverted oil system. It has 411 hours since major overhaul and has had a top overhaul within the last twelve months. Camshaft and lifters are in excellent condition and new Superior cylinders were fitted less than 50 hours ago. Propeller is the recommended Sensenich Model 76 EM855-0-60. The aircraft is fitted with aluminum spring gear and Haigh locking tail wheel.
Work remaining is to replace all flexible hoses and to check the fuel injector, magnetos and mechanical fuel pump. A new Andair electrical fuel pump is fitted. All electrics are new. All worksheets are signed off and the whole build fully recorded with numerous photographs. A full set of construction drawings are also included.
The aircraft is being sold due to my old age and decrepitude and is my fourth and last completion.
