Description

Piper L18c Super Cub – Popham based five-member group
This beautiful 1952 ex-Italian Airforce aircraft is now back in the air after a minor prop-strike which means she now benefits from new Permit, an effectively zero-timed engine and brand-new Hercules propeller. She is easily hand swung and equipped with battery-powered Trig radio & transponder and recent modern disk brakes - so is ready for years of tail wheel fun. Popham based and sitting in pole position in metal Hanger One means this aircraft may be simply pre-flighted and flown with minimum hassle from this airfield’s beautiful grass runways.

The Continental C-95 engined L18c (Civil PA18) is regarded by many as ‘the’ Cub to have with an 80-knot cruise, short field capability, light handling and great economy of operation. This wooden prop well-balanced engine combination is extremely smooth, easy to start and only recently had her post run-in oil change.
