Description
Ideal wing for a Sub-70 project. It is a 16m double surface hang glider that is quick and easy to rig, has good performance, and is in very good condition. It weighs 30kgs and has a max payload of 135kg. I.e. is suitable for a 40kg trike unit and a pilot of up to 95Kgs.
Airborne are a leading Australian manufacturer of microlights and hang gliders. The Sting has all the
features of a modern performance wing. Spring loaded batten tips for a clean trailing edge. Mylar leading edge and nose cone. Aerofoil uprights and King post. Removeable keel extension for easy rigging. A VG system which allows the pilot to tension and flatten the wing in flight to adjust the glider performance and handling characteristics.
Stall speed just sneaks under the 35Kph exemption limitation.
This version also has the advantage of a short pack facility, the outer leading edges slide in and out without tools to reduce the packed length to 4m. (13'8"). User manual.
The glider has some scuff marks on one leading edge. See Pictures.
I also have a selection of HG tubing and an old trike frame which any buyer can have at no extra cost. The glider is near York, but I travel a lot and may be able to arrange delivery for fuel costs. I will have it with me at Popham May 2nd & 3rd.
