£19,500 FIRM – NO OFFERS
Change of circumstances forces sale – exceptionally competitively priced for a quick, straightforward sale.
G-CHTH is a 2018 Zenair CH701 SP Group A / SEP aircraft, powered by the proven Rotax 912ULS 100hp four-stroke engine.
With just 278 airframe hours from new, a fresh LAA Permit and substantial recent engine and gearbox maintenance, this represents an opportunity to buy a very capable 100hp CH701 at a price well below comparable examples.
It flies extremely well and is currently operating from a 120-metre grass strip.

Condition
I want to be completely transparent about the reason for the low asking price.
Mechanically, the aircraft has benefited from significant recent expenditure, is ready to fly and flies really nicely.
Cosmetically, it is presentable and perfectly usable as it stands, but would benefit from some TLC, principally paint touch-ups and general cosmetic improvement.
It can simply be flown and enjoyed exactly as it is, or with a little time and effort spent on the cosmetics it could be turned into a really nice example.
The cosmetic condition, together with a change in my circumstances requiring a quick sale, is reflected heavily in the asking price.
Genuine STOL Capability
The CH701 is one of the best-known genuine STOL designs, developed specifically for operation from short and unimproved strips.
G-CHTH is currently operating from a 120-metre grass strip and flies extremely well.
The combination of the lightweight CH701 airframe and 100hp Rotax 912ULS gives excellent short-field capability, while the superb all-round visibility makes it an enjoyable aircraft for recreational, touring and strip flying.
Group A / SEP – Microlight Pilots
G-CHTH is a Group A / SEP aircraft and is not registered as a microlight.
However, following the recent CAA licensing changes, the route to SEP privileges can now be relatively straightforward for suitably experienced microlight pilots.
In my own case, I upgraded from microlight to SEP with approximately 1.5 hours of additional training followed by an SEP Skills Test in a Cessna 152.
Individual requirements will depend on existing licence and experience, so buyers should confirm the requirements applicable to them with an appropriate instructor/LAA.
