Hi everyone,
I'm a 35 year old PPL(A) holder with around 230 hours looking for a share in something halfway useful for touring. A bit more about myself:
I recently moved back to my native UK after living (and flying) abroad for 12 years. I hold an EASA and a CAA PPL(A). I've flown in the UK, Malta, Italy, Germany, Denmark, The Netherlands and Belgium with P1 experience in the Piper PA-28-180, Robin DR400-180, Diamond DA20, Aquila A210 and Tecnam P2002JF.
I'm an aircraft maintenance engineer on large single engine turboprops by trade. Though I can't legally work on a SEP outside of pilot/owner maintenance, you know I'll take care of it!
I'm looking for something useful for light touring, probably to the continent at some point, so preferably something with a minimum cruise of 100kts and 2-4 seats. I'm flexible and open minded, but on the wishlist would be something a bit more interesting than your average PA28 or C172. I strongly prefer Shoreham or airstrips in the surrounding area, but would be willing to travel to Redhill, Biggin Hill, maybe Goodwood etc for the right aircraft. I will be starting my tailwheel rating imminently, widening the possible shares that could work.
Budget is flexible, but I'd like to keep the monthly and hourly costs at or below 200 (each), if possible. Again, for the right aircraft this is flexible.
