Description
Offered for sale as an "as-is, where-is" project as part of a deceased estate. This 2000 Medway Rebel SS was purchased brand new by my late father and has an exceptionally rare, pristine airframe history. The aircraft has logged just 2 hours total time from new. Its very last flight was on 21st August 2002, and it has been safely stored unused in dry storage ever since.Engine Details:The engine is unstarted since 2002. 3-cylinder, 2SI 690 engine, 70hp "International" two-stroke engine.. The engine turns over freely by hand but will require a complete overhaul, full rubber/hose replacement, and professional inspection before any attempt is made to start it.Airframe & Wing:Due to the incredibly low 2 hours of total use, the aluminium airframe, pod, and trike components are structurally excellent with no operational wear, though they will require a thorough cleaning and inspection. The wing/sail has been stored out of the sun but will require a mandatory BMAA inspector's Bettsometer fabric strength test prior to flight.Documentation:Original airframe and engine logbooks are present, confirming the 2 hours total time and 2002 flight date.No current Permit to Fly. Sold strictly as a non-airworthy restoration project or a pristine donor airframe.Price: £2,500 (Open to sensible offers based on engine verification)Location: Maidstone, Kent. Collection: The buyer will need a flatbed trailer or suitable van to transport the aircraft.Serious enquiries only, please. Please contact me via AFORS messaging to arrange a viewing.
