Summary
MT 186 R 140 - 3D fixed-pitch wood/composite propeller, previously fitted to a Lycoming O-320-D2A powered Glastar. Features a non-standard trimmed diameter of ~180cm (3cm clipped per tip). Hub condition is excellent with intact stainless steel leading-edge protection. No EASA Form 1 so suitable for homebuilt or LAA Permit to Fly aircraft following engineering assessment. Collection only.
Description
For sale is a fixed pitch wood and composite MT propeller. It was originally installed on my Glastar aircraft many years ago. The engine was a Lycoming O320-D2A. The prop was slightly modified (3cm clipped from each tip) to try to achieve shorter take-off rolls, but that didn't achieve the desired result so I changed it for a finer pitch version.
Condition is well used but is very usable. It would benefit from a little cosmetic work.
The diameter is now approx. 180cm.
The steel leading edge inserts are in good condition, rear faces also good and the hub like new.
